80 and going strong

One of our ski instructors is an inspiration for how to live life. She's 80 years old this month, and she goes hard all day long. Not only is she very sweet and polite, her physical ability puts my huffing-and-puffing-up-the-stairs to shame. SHAME, I tell you.
Check out the national coverage. She also made front page of our local paper.

"See, we have way more intellegent conversation than ancient astronaut touting, big bang slagging, anti-evolution young Earth Creationists!"

First bad review

Woowoo! Got a review on the Neo-opsis story. The reviewer didn't like it one bit. I find it kind of amusing, as she missed the tongue-in-cheek style of the whole story. But that's what writing is all about! Seeing what different people get out of your work. I'm just happy it's out there.

Holy freakin funny

Poor Petey, the guy's sufferings in the first stage of his life (I'm sure there's at least 14 stages) will make him rich & famous & incredibly content in the next 13 or so stages. Read his blog here, especially the The Writer: So Clever; Yet So Dumb post. My gut hurts from laughing.

DUDE

I've just learned there's a DVD out of the entire first season of The Muppet Show. I am so excited. Will have to get one and introduce the kids, who don't know half the Muppets. *shakes head* Sad, sad world we live in.
I'll also be very excited when I find a collection of The Carol Burnette Shows. Any leads anyone?
