Canadian Book Prices finally reflect dollar fluctuation
It seems so entirely CROOKED and FRAUDULENT for US Book publishers to have taken advantage of the Canadian pricing on US published books. It's about time something was done.

I've been battling myself lately about life, stuff, my overabundance of crappy stuff, crappy living space, crappy living. I came across this story, about a young woman, a dancer, who decides to handmake and wear ONE brown dress for an entire year. All the time.
North America has no parallel. Slightly disappointing, but a cool thing to think about for a moment.
I was totally pumped to receive an acceptance letter for the short story I submitted to North of Infinity III. I did the hampster dance in my chair. Will have to order the first two editions for perusal.
Deep Magic, a high-quality e-zine, is on the rocks. Free to read, and recently started paying authors for their stories. They've seen a huge increase in submissions, of course, after that announcement, but haven't reached a feasible number of subscriptions to even keep producing the magazine. I've seen Deep Magic get more and more positive coverage, and would hate to see it die at this point. If anyone can help by subscribing, or a donation (what's five bucks?), we don't want to see the little guy go under!
