I've found my writing stride

It consists of slamming out anywhere from 77 to 124 words, then completely draining mentally - my creative flow oozing down the side of my executive chair, onto the towers of file folders on the floor surrounding the desk.

*wait one to four weeks*

Repeat.

one to four weeks... you're lucky! When I was a kid it was ten to twelve, uphill both ways!

People often talk about 'writing strides' but rarely 'writing gaits'. One could gallop write, trot write, cantor write. Ambling I expect would consist of writing two sentences with the right half of your brain, then two sentences with the left hemisphere. No wait, we have only two les, not four. I guess humans can't amble then. Ah well....
